Project Outputs

The project partners will produce the following outputs for each project country:

• A background paper synthesising the findings of existing impact studies.
• Reader friendly EPAs information and campaigning packs.
• Reports from the technical and consultative workshops.
• A national advocacy document stating the policy concerns expressed through the consultative workshops.
• A bimonthly E-newsletter disseminating the project outputs and news about EPAs negotiations.

In addition, the project management team will also produce the following outputs:

• A quarterly E-newsletter disseminating the project outputs to interested stakeholders in the ESA region and the EU.
• A project website which will be used to disseminate the project outputs and news on EPAs negotiations, and host an interactive E-group.

Milestones

The following milestones have been identified to assess progress on the outputs:

1. Background paper produced and disseminated to participants of the technical workshops by January 2006.
2. Reader-friendly civil society EPA information pack produced and disseminated to CSOs participating in the consultative workshops by May.
3. Workshops successfully completed by November 2006. This will be assessed through the number of attendees, their geographical, demographic and socio-economic diversity and the initial feed back from attendees (to be collected at the end of each workshop).
4. Joint civil society advocacy paper produced and disseminated to CSO participants of consultative workshops by January 2007.
5. Advocacy activities:

• At least one meeting with a Government official or one public event per month.
• At least one article every second month on the EPA negotiations in the national media.
• National E-newsletters published monthly to keep CSOs informed on progress/developments in relation to the EPA negotiations and to support their advocacy efforts.
• The government in each project country incorporates at least two recommendations from the civil society advocacy paper by the end of the project.
